Erythrocyte volume changes are common and usually benign, but the terms anistrocytosis and erythrocytosis should only be used when the
extrahematologic alterations are truly abnormal and when they are associated with recognized and reversible clinical problems.

Although anisocytosis and poikilocytosis occur commonly in the general population, these disorders must be recognized and treated if they are
an indication of pathology. Erythrocytosis should be regarded as a pathological condition only when the hemoglobin concentration is greater than

In this study, the lack of tetracycline-induced fluorescence upon 1-hour incubation in the presence of the triptorelin analogue was attributed to the formation of hydrophobic complex formation between tetracyclines and the triptorelin analogue and consequent inhibition of the tetracycline fluorescence.

The peptide analogues had a higher affinity for AT4 cells compared to that of tetracycline. The respective IC~50~ values were 28.3 ± 1.6 and 31.5 ± 1.9 *μ*mol/L for the analogues **14a** and **14b**, respectively, compared to 0.57 ± 0.05 *μ*mol/L for tetracycline. This may be attributed to the formation of a more compact, hydrophobic peptide–drug complex, which can lead to binding to proteins. This hypothesis is supported by the observed increase in the affinity of the analogues in comparison to the tetracyclines. The higher lipophilicity and the conformational rigidity of the cyclic peptides may also account for the improved binding affinity of the analogues compared to that of the linear peptides.

Conclusion {#Sec20}

A new class of peptide-based drugs for the control of peripheral inflammation was developed and synthesized. The binding of the peptide–drug complexes to the gastrin releasing peptide receptor was investigated by NMR spectroscopy and thermodynamics. The peptide–drug complexes were found to target the G-protein-coupled receptor AT4, which
